Once I stepped into the garden of this beautiful resort, I immediately noticed how peaceful and elegant it was. The entire setting is amazing – the garden is filled with palm trees and other tropical plants, and it all gives off a wonderful jungle vibe.

In the garden, there’s an infinity pool surrounded by lush greenery and dragonflies dancing over the water. It’s simply magical!

Location

The Luang Say Residence is perfectly located in a tranquil and peaceful environment, just outside the Luang Prabang city center. It’s just a 25-minute walk from Luang Prabang town, so you can easily access the busy markets, holy temples, and all the cafes lined up along the Mekong River. 

Rooms

Every suite in the Luang Say Residence is designed and built using only the best materials, with perfect attention to detail.

I stayed in one of the Pioneer Suites which was quite spacious – 43 square meters.

The suite had shiny polished wooden floors, French colonial décor, charming antique furniture, and deluxe bedding that made me want to stay in bed all day. 

The balcony was one of my favorite parts of the suite because of how private it was, and how it offered me a view of the serene lush gardens as I enjoyed my morning coffee.

The bathroom was so beautiful, with a blend of vintage touches like marble sinks. Overall, it was luxurious, comfortable, and elegant. 

Breakfast

I love having breakfast in a peaceful environment, and that’s exactly what you get at La Belle Époque Restaurant at The Luang Say Residence.

The serene terrace overlooking lush greenery became my favorite spot because of its peaceful and intimate atmosphere. 

The multi-course breakfast was amazing, and it consisted of a plate of fresh fruits such as apples, mangoes, dragon fruit, and other tropical varieties- followed by eggs and bacon, bread, croissants, butter, and jam. Coffee and fresh juices were always part of the spread.

Everything was beautifully arranged and tasted as good as it looked, making breakfast the perfect start to the day.

Pool and Garden

Of all the boutique hotels in Luang Prabang, the pool and garden at the Luang Say Residence are truly exquisite and extensive. 

The gorgeous tropical landscape makes it feel and look like a botanical garden.

The garden is beautified with lines of flowers, plants, and palm trees, giving the vibe of a jungle paradise. Plus, there’s an infinity pool that rests within this lush greenery.

I will start by saying my experience at the Luang Say Residence was truly amazing.

The hotel might be a great choice for you if you want to have an experience beyond simply finding a place to sleep. The room rates start from $350 per night, and although it might not be the best choice if you’re on a tight budget, the price-quality ratio is great.
